WESTTA POTTERY NIGHT - mAY 30TH
Western Teachers got to show off their artsy side at the WTA pottery night hosted by Clay Owl on May 30th. The event was attended by about 30 pottery enthusiasts and received great reviews from those that participated. Your pottery creations will be available for pick up Friday June 15th from the the EMMS office. Thanks again to WTA Social Chairs, Ashlee Bart and Ariel Bergmann for organizing this great event!

MTS hOCKEY tOURNMENT - march 13TH-15TH
Western and Beautiful Plains Teachers' combined forces over the weekend to participate in the Manitoba Teachers' Society Hockey tournament. The talent pool on display was at least ankle deep, which helped the team boaster an impressive 1-1-1 record. Big thanks to Seven Oaks TA for hosting this years event and we are already look forward to Morris with Seine River taking the biscuit next year!
WESTTA dODGEBALL nIGHT - march 22nd
It was a hard fought battle by all with epic victories and crushing defeats. WTA's Social Chair Ariel Bergmann showed off her cannon for an arm while veterans like Kris Nicholls and Dan Muggridge showed amazing feats of acrobatic prowess in avoiding almost every foam projectile launched their way.
The WTA's first Annual Dodgeball game was an absolute blast and the post game appys were good too. Thank you to all the members who came out!
WESTTA representing at the MTS bONSPIEL - February 2nd-4th
WTA was well represented this past weekend at the MTS Bonspiel held in Brandon. Team WTA consisted of Mike Ward (lead, where I can do the least damage), Andrei Mardli (second, but first in our hearts and on the broom), Terry Mansell (third, keepin it real), Dawn Rigaux (skip, yells at us all game).
I'm proud to say we were C-side finalists. Thank you to Brandon for doing such a great job and making all the teachers in this event feel welcome in your city!
WTA tRIVIA nIGHT - November 23rd
Our second WTA event of the year was a success. Western Teachers showed off their knowledge of the random at our WTA Trivia night. It was nice to see teachers have some fun, fill their stomachs with delicious poutine, and connect with their colleagues after the grueling report card rush. Thanks to the Ashlee Bart and Ariel Bergman for hosting and bringing this event together. Stay tuned for the next WTA event, we will be hosting a Christmas get together before the break!

WESTTA CAR RALLY - September 29TH
Our first event of the year was an absolute blast! It was great to see Morden Teachers rushing around the community to complete their tasks and getting together for some good eats afterward. Props to our Social Chairs Ashlee and Ariel for starting the year off with such an awesome event and thank you to everyone who came out!
